Detoxifying Ginger Avocado Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1/2 cumber
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tsp ground ginger or one  (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and minced
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup water
  • handful ice

  • Directions

    1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and process until smooth. Add additional water if needed to get it going in the blender.
    2. Serve immediately (because of the avocado and chia seeds this smoothie thickens up fast – so if you do let it sit, stir it up with a spoon or knife before drinking to loosen!).
